Antonio Brown set to join New England Patriots

Antonio Brown has agreed a deal with the New England Patriots, hours according to reports.
Brown and the Patriots consented to some one-year deal worth up to $15m (#12m) that contains a $9m (#7.2m) signing bonus, according to reports.
The 31-year-old took to the bargain that was all-but-confirm, posting an image of himself with a jersey and hat.
The news is based on a whirlwind day where Brown was released by Oakland a bit more than 48 hours before the Raiders’ season opener.
The move capped a tumultuous week at Oakland and came just hours after the wide receiver submitted a message into Instagram about Saturday morning that finished with”Release me @raiders”.
Brown has been free to sign with any team and became a free agent as of 4:01 pm Eastern Time on Saturday. He’s qualified to play in Week 2.
“We tried every way possible to make it operate,” Raiders coach Jon Gruden told Bloomberg.
“All I will say is it is disappointing. I am very pleased with our clients, our coaches, our owner. We did what we could to make this work. I’m sorry it did not. I apologise, but I shall tell you I am very proud of everything we did to try. I wish Antonio nothing but the very best.”
Speaking on NFL Network Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he will get to focus on finding a brand new team.
“It has been well-documented that it has been a rocky road from the beginning,” Rosenhaus said.
“Unfortunately, not all relationships between players and teams workout. Everybody had the best goals going in but it did not pan out”
The launch of brown came less than 24 hours after Gruden said he expected the wide receiver to play in Monday’s season opener.
He was fined $215,000 (#175,000) on Friday for a confrontation with all Raiders general manager Mike Mayock earlier in this week. The behaviour fine voided the roughly $30m (#24m) of promises in his arrangement, while the Raiders also allegedly wouldn’t be bound to provide him any termination pay.
The Raiders acquired Brown in a trade in March, sending third-round along with fifth-round draft selections into Pittsburgh. Then they signed him to some three-year, $50m (#40m) restructured contract expansion. According to numerous reports, the Raiders have to pay any money to Brown.
